# Contact Riskado

Contact Riskado about an insurance guide, a correction, an agency listing, a Pro or Sponsored directory plan, or a marketing service. Contact is by form only. For a quote, a claim or coverage advice, the right contact is a licensed agency, agent, broker, insurer or your state insurance department, and the next section shows where to find each one.

Riskado is an independent information site and directory, not an insurer, agency or broker. A listing in the directory is not an endorsement.

## Need a quote or help with a claim?

Riskado provides general insurance information and maintains a directory of agencies. Quotes, coverage and claims are handled by the people who hold your policy or can write one.

- **A quote:** contact a licensed insurance agency, agent, broker or insurer. The [agency directory](https://riskado.com/agencies/) is the place to find a local agency.
- **An existing claim:** contact your insurance company or agent, using the number on your policy documents or on the insurer's official website. The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) says in its [consumer guide to home insurance (opens in a new tab)](https://content.naic.org/sites/default/files/publication-hoi-pp-consumer-homeowners.pdf) to contact the agent or company as soon as possible to file a claim.
- **An unresolved insurance problem:** contact your state insurance department, which can help you work with an insurer when a disagreement comes up, according to the same NAIC guide. In Connecticut, the Connecticut Insurance Department's Consumer Affairs Unit [receives, reviews and responds to insurance-related complaints and inquiries (opens in a new tab)](https://portal.ct.gov/cid/mission-and-divisions/the-consumer-affairs-unit?language=en_US), and you can [ask a question or file a complaint (opens in a new tab)](https://portal.ct.gov/cid/file-a-complaint) online. Its [contact page (opens in a new tab)](https://portal.ct.gov/cid/ContactUs?language=en_US) lists an email address and telephone numbers.

Policy numbers, claim numbers and claim documents belong with your insurer or agent, so keep them out of the Riskado form.

## What can you ask Riskado?

The form starts with one required question, "What is this about?", and the choices are:

- A question about a guide, or a correction to one.
- Claim or correct an agency listing.
- A Pro or Sponsored directory plan.
- A service enquiry: web design, SEO, review management or video marketing.
- Something else.

Your choice shapes the rest of the form, so you only see the fields that fit your question.

## What should you include?

A short message with the right detail gets the clearest answer.

- **A guide question or correction:** the name of the guide and the detail you want checked.
- **A listing claim or correction:** the agency name, the listing URL or your agency website, the city and state served, and the specific correction, such as a business name, address, phone number, hours or website.
- **A plan or service enquiry:** your agency or business name, your work email address, the city and state you serve, and the plan or service you want to hear about.

The form asks for a contact name, an agency or business name, a work email address, an agency website or directory listing URL, the city and state served, and a message. A phone number is optional and marked that way, and so is a preferred language, English or Spanish.

Please leave out Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, bank or payment-card details, medical information, passwords and customer details. A listing correction does not need any documents. Privacy information is on our [privacy policy page](https://riskado.com/privacy/).

## Send Riskado a message

## What happens after you send it?

After you select **Send message**, a confirmation appears on the screen. If your matter is urgent or specific to a policy, the confirmation points you back to your insurer, agent, broker or state insurance department, the same routes listed above.

## Common questions

### Can Riskado give me an insurance quote?

No. Riskado does not sell insurance or give quotes. For a quote, the directory lists local agencies you can contact directly.

### How do I claim or correct my agency's listing?

Choose "Claim or correct an agency listing" in the form, identify the listing, and state the correction you need. Claiming is free, and our [page for insurance agencies](https://riskado.com/for-agencies/) explains what a claim is and what the paid plans include.

### How do I report an error in a guide?

Choose "A question about a guide or a correction," then name the guide and the detail that needs checking. Our [About page](https://riskado.com/about/) explains what Riskado is and how it is paid.

### Can I write to Riskado in Spanish?

Yes. The form has a preferred language field with English and Spanish as the choices.
