Directory Plans and Pricing for Insurance Agencies

A claimed Riskado listing is free. Pro costs $39 a month or $390 a year. Sponsored costs $79 a month at the founding rate, or $790 a year, for each category-town page, with at most two Sponsored agencies on any page and every one labelled Sponsored. No contract is required, and you can cancel anytime. A paid plan adds presentation and placement; reviews, badges, credentials and trust work the same way at every level, free included. Start by claiming your listing, then request a plan through the contact form.

Compare the free, Pro and Sponsored listings

Each level builds on the one before it. Prices are flat, so what you pay stays the same whatever happens after someone reads your listing.

What a claimed listing gives you for free

Claiming puts the listing in your hands. You can correct the agency name, address, phone number and website, and we re-check each change before it goes live. You also add one photo of your own and replace the short profile with a description you write. There is no charge to claim, and the claimed listing stays free whether or not you add a paid plan later.

Claiming first also makes any plan request faster, because we already know which listing is yours and that its basic details are right.

What Pro adds for $39 a month

Pro is for agencies that want their listing to do more of the explaining. You get room for up to 15 photos and a longer description where you can list the services you handle and answer the questions your customers ask most. A Message this agency form sends visitor messages straight to your agency email, so the conversation starts with you, not with us.

Your listing carries a Pro label and sits ahead of unclaimed listings when the order would otherwise be tied. Other agencies are no longer shown on your own listing page, so a visitor reading about your office sees only your office. Each month you receive the views and clicks your listing received, which gives you a steady way to judge whether the plan is worth keeping.

How Sponsored placement works

Sponsored is priced per category-town page, meaning one type of insurance agency in one town. A Sponsored agency takes one of the top slots on that page, and each page has at most two. Every Sponsored listing is labelled Sponsored right beside it, so visitors always know which placements are paid.

That labelling follows the standard set in the FTC's native advertising guide for businesses (opens in a new tab): advertising has to be identifiable as advertising, with a clear, prominent disclosure close to the paid placement, and terms such as "Ad," "Advertisement" or "Sponsored Advertising Content" are ones consumers are likely to understand. A Sponsored listing also carries the same presentation as Pro, and its statistics add how the Sponsored slot performs. When you ask for Sponsored, name the category and town you want so we can tell you whether a slot is open on that page.

What payment covers, and what stays the same at every level

A paid plan buys presentation and placement on Riskado. Reviews, ratings, badges and credentials are handled the same way for every listing, free included, and a Pro label or a Sponsored slot is a paid feature, separate from any endorsement. A higher plan comes with more room and a better position on a defined page; the calls, messages and customers that follow depend on what visitors decide.

Pricing is always a flat monthly or yearly amount, with no charge per lead, per quote, per policy and no commission or revenue share. That shape matters in insurance. Under the NAIC Unfair Trade Practices Act, Model #880 (opens in a new tab), commissions and other producer compensation generally go only to licensed producers, and an unlicensed person paid for a customer referral may receive only a fixed amount per referral that does not depend on whether the customer buys. Rebates and inducements tied to a policy count as unfair practices under the same model, so no reader discount or gift comes with choosing a listed agency. States adopt these rules in their own versions, so confirm how your state handles directory advertising and referrals with your state insurance department (opens in a new tab) or your own counsel.

Riskado is an independent information site and directory, separate from any insurer, agency or broker. Visitors buy insurance from the agencies and insurers themselves. If you run a captive office, check whether your carrier must approve your listing text or the use of its marks before you add a paid plan.

Contracts, cancellation and billing

Every plan runs without a contract. You choose monthly or yearly billing, and you can cancel anytime. Sponsored is priced per category-town page, so an agency that wants Sponsored slots in two towns pays for two pages. Plans are arranged through the contact form, and we set up each one by hand.

How to start: claim first, then request a plan

The order is simple. First, claim your listing and fix any details that need it. Then open the contact form, choose the topic for a Pro or Sponsored directory plan, and include:

  • Your agency name
  • Your listing link, or your city and state
  • Your name and email address
  • The plan you want, monthly or yearly
  • For Sponsored, the category and town
  • Any questions or corrections

The price you see here is the price you pay. For more ways Riskado works with agencies, visit the agency services page.

Frequently asked questions

These answer the points agencies raise most often before choosing a plan.

Can I claim my listing without buying a plan?

Yes. Claiming is free and stands on its own. You can keep a claimed listing for as long as you like, correct its details and add your own photo and description without ever moving to Pro or Sponsored.

Does a paid plan change where my agency shows up on Google?

A Riskado plan changes how your listing looks and where it sits on Riskado pages. Payment does not raise a page in Google Search, according to Google's consumer information page (opens in a new tab), so search rankings stay outside what any plan covers.

Where do messages from the Message this agency form go?

They go to your agency email address. The form is part of Pro and Sponsored, and you reply to visitors directly from your own inbox.

Can I have Sponsored in more than one town or category?

Yes, as long as each page has an open slot. Each category-town page is its own $79 a month or $790 a year, and each page holds at most two Sponsored agencies.

When your listing is claimed and you know which plan fits, send your plan request through the contact form.
